Megan Martin

Hi I am Megan and I was born and raised on an acreage outside of the small town 100 Mile House, BC with my Dad and two younger sisters. I have always had many types of pets including farm animals, rodents, exotic snakes, cats, and dogs. It has always been a passion of mine to work with animals and I am very comfortable working with all different species, sizes, and behaviors.

I received my Diploma from Peter Skene Ogden Secondary in 2014 and moved to Lethbridge shortly after along with my boyfriend, two ball pythons and a cat. I chose to move to Lethbridge to further both my work experience opportunities and education. I plan to attend the Veterinary Technician Program at Olds College soon to gain more experience and credentials in this field of work.

I was a volunteer at Family Pet Hospital from January to May 2016 before officially joining the team as an employee. My passion for the work and love of animals makes my job very enjoyable and something I look forward to every day.

The team at Family Pet Hospital is very friendly, helpful and dedicated and I am thankful to always be learning and gaining valuable experience from my time with them. Being able to work with both new and returning customers means I’m constantly being faced with new learning opportunities and challenges and this in itself is very rewarding.

When not at Family Pet Hospital, I enjoy many outdoor activities with my boyfriend including kayaking, biking, and camping. I love to travel and one day I hope to visit Thailand. If the weather doesn’t permit for outdoor adventures, I can be found sketching and doing other art and spending time with my two cats, Mimi and Remi, and my pitbull-mix dog, Bentley.
