Emily Gow, VTA
Emily’s passion for animals grew, as she did, on a farm outside of Taber. At a young age, she could be found soothing mice that her cats brought onto the deck, holding a handful of worms that she called “wiggles”, playing with salamanders that she found around the property, and toting around a bug cage full of field moths or frogs. Her interests developed further, fostering eight years of beef 4-H raising both steer and heifer projects with which she successfully competed in cattle shows across Alberta.
In 2014, Emily graduated from the Veterinary Technical Assistant Program at Olds College and joined us here at Family Pet. Her strong organizational skills, attention and understanding to detail along with her commitment to our patients is why Emily is the backbone of our team as the Lead Assistant.
Emily and her husband Jon adore their three dogs, Harley, Macie and Maverick, and enjoy spending time with them outdoors walking, hiking or simply playing in the park. Their two cats, Oliver and Kai, are currently overseeing Emily and Jon’s full-house renovation project underway in Taber.
She looks forward to helping your beloved pets, treating every animal that comes through the door as she would her own.
