Dr. Teri White, BSc, DVM
Medicine, Surgery, Dental Surgery
Dr. Teri White grew on a small hobby farm in rural Nova Scotia. She began her career in animal medicine as a veterinary technician in New Brunswick. Dr. White quickly learned that becoming a veterinarian was her true calling. She continued to work as a veterinary technician while completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology, at the University of New Brunswick.
Then she moved to beautiful Prince Edward Island, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College. After obtaining her license, she worked at a small animal practice in New Brunswick, before finding her way here at Family Pet Hospital. Dr. White’s professional interests include both medicine and soft tissue surgery, as well as dentistry and acupuncture. She has previously volunteered with World Vets in Nicaragua, and hopes to continue to volunteer in other countries in need of veterinary aid in the future.
In her spare time, you can find Dr. White camping and hiking with her dog Thea. She especially loves spending hours at the beach, which is going to prove difficult in Southern Alberta! However, she is eager to explore the mountains!
